DIGITAL BASS
If this is your first time in a studio here are a few tips that may be of use to you before you come to record, Some may seem a little obvious but from experience these are the most common mistakes people make. 1. Learn your words 2. know the difference between the verses, choruses, bridges ect 3. sing the beginings and ends of words properly (its easy to sing “cause “ instead of “Because” or “IN” at the end of a word instead of “ING” 4. Singing in a vocal booth is different from singing on stage so the techniques to capture your voice differers too. We tend to (not always) use a different type of microphone other than a hand held vocal dynamic microphone. This type of microphone is a condenser and it enables us to capture a more precise recording of your voice.  Next time when practising try standing and projecting your voice directly at an object 10 -15 cm away. This will help in the recording so we can get a very nice sound from you. 5. Backing tracks are accepted in a number of formats. Out of preference we ask that you bring .wav or .aiff files on memory stick or CD. If you are uncertain as to the compatibility of your backing tracks, Please contact the studio in advance of your session so that we can help you. 6. We can also provide you with the backing  track you require (if available) for a fee. Please contact the studio in advance of your session.
